this and that and even again
During the SNGs I scraped together $500 in one table of $5/$10. So, down $660 for that session.
Two days ago had a few interesting hands, swung up and down a bit and finished up $500. Hand histories are on my laptop, but basically I had a sweet double-up hand for a $3,200 pot with AA all-in pre-flop versus AK. Donation! Then I donkeyed away $1,000 by flopping a K with AK, trying to trap, and running into KK. Gotta love drawing dead (I'm glad it's rare). I pulled off a couple solid $500+ river bluffs too.
Had one tough hand where MP (middle position) raised, button called, and I called with QQ in BB. Flop was T93, two diamonds. I check, MP bets $125, button raises to $375, and I fold. I just didn't have a good feeling from the start. I very much had the button on a semi-bluff, but the original raiser could easily have AA or KK (or even a set) as he was quite tight with his pre-flop raises. So anyway, the original raiser pushes all-in with JJ, the button calls on a nut flush draw, and my QQ would have held up by some miracle. So, if I just play like a doofus I most likely triple up as we all had full buy-ins (might have lost the JJ if I jam the flop, but who knows).
Went to the Penguin Club (I asked about their name and it's officially Player's Club I guess but they didn't really seem to firm on it or even know for sure themselves, so I like Penguin Club better so that's what I'll use) yesterday to play some $5/$10 and I was happy to see the game switch to $10/$20 within an hour of starting. I eventually suggested making it $10/$25 because that would involve way less change and a faster game, so we did it. So, back to the normal $10/$25 game as it seems most of the regulars in the game prefer that, even if it is a little more short-handed than $5/$10. I don't really care to play in a $5/$10 game with a bunch of rock short-stackers who mostly just interfere in my hands against the deep stacks.
Anyway, I started alright, thought my luck was turning around, and then ran into the good old Rosie wall again. I have never, in 3 years, had someone OWN me so badly. If we were playing for Sklantsky dollars, then I'd be a rich man (if you don't have a clue what I'm talking about, just nevermind, read Sklantsky's poker book, it's boring). Rosie has this incredible talent of whenever the pot gets over $1,000, he wins....always. It doesn't matter what I have or how far ahead I am, he finds a way and I'm always left with these tough gay decisions. I won't bother playing out all the hands, but he 2-outed me THREE times that I can remember in decent pots, counterfeited or rivered my 2 pair THREE times, rivered a bigger straight on my flopped nut straight, etc, etc, etc. If I didn't like Rosie and if he weren't such a gentleman at the table, I'd want to strangle him! I did, however, lose my cool a little in this game and I don't like that happening. I feel foolish and defeated. I wasn't mad at Rosie, or the dealer, or myself really (well, maybe on a couple calls, but gah...), but mostly just at the bad luck. And being mad at bad luck is a waste of time.
So, to make a long story short, I did hit a few hands throughout the night, but couldn't get much going while getting coolered by Rosie every other rotation. Joe, Rosie, and I played 3-handed for about 3 hours. Over half the hands had a straddle which made the game $10/$25/$50. Early in the 3-handed I was up about $4,500 and went on a $7,500 downswing as Rosie took my chips and immediately gave them to Joe who was a hitting machine and getting paid off left and right. I was so cold for the first 2 hours of 3-way play, nothing was working. Fortunately, I took down a few medium pots and crawled back to even before we called it a night.
Joe and I battled a few times, not too much and not too deep. I think we played each other about even (skill-wise), but he definitely hit a little better in our heads-up hands. He's really tough to play, but I know I give him problems here and there too. It's been a while since I've hit a really nice hand on him...I always feel vulnerable in the hands.
Joe and I had a couple interesting hands (neither had a straddle):
One hand I had 65 on button. Flop is 643. Rosie (who is on pretty big tilt because he is down even though kicking my ass) bets out $50, Joe raises to $200, I call (I know, little risky, but given the context of the gameplay I think it's fine), Rosie calls. Turn is a 2 (no flushes), Rosie checks, Joe bets $600, I call, Rosie folds. River is a T (blank), and Joe grabs for chips pretty quickly and fires out $3,000! The pot stands at about $1,900. I am pretty much instantly thinking fold, it's gotta be 75. Then, I start trying to convince myself Joe is trying to bet me off a chop (he did it against Hung, barely unsuccessfully, just a little while before), then snap out of it and make the fold. Joe showed 75 thinking I didn't even have a 5 after I folded. He was annoyed at himself for making such a greedy river bet. Honestly, I felt sick about the hand on his turn bet. I felt like I was getting very lured in, but he's right, folding to a smaller bet would have obviously been difficult.
Next hand was tougher. I have just finished commenting about how I'm not getting any big pairs tonight, and have been playing very aggressively recently and bluffing often. I'm not sure if I have the board 100% right, but this is the jist of it. I get KK on the button and raise to $75 (I don't usually raise this small but have to mix it up a little sometimes). Rosie and Joe call. Flop is T73, two clubs. Checked to me, I bet $200. Rosie folds, Joe check-raises to $600. I don't like overplaying overpairs, but I really felt like there was a good chance I was winning. I almost raise back, but just call. Turn is 5 of clubs bringing in a flush draw. Joe quickly bets out $1,500. This is a pretty large bet into what is about a $1,400 pot. I get a feeling he didn't necessarily mean to bet so much, but who knows. I have the K of clubs by the way. At this point, I'm not entirely sure where I'm at, but a bluff (or straight draw semi-bluff) is NOT out of Joe's range. If I didn't have the K of clubs, I might have just let it go (maybe), but I call. River is another T, Joe checks, now I feel I'm not winning (which makes me feel dumb for calling the turn on flush draw that is possibly not even live), I check. I pray he simple shows a given up bluff, but he has J-something of clubs and takes it down. I dunno, tough hand...
Anyway, it's late, 6am. Wasn't tired until now, that Penguin game sort of messes with my schedule. I probably won't play too much poker until next Tuesday as I really have to get on top of this real estate licensing course (making that time #5 at least that I've said that, but this time, for real!).
Just like to make a quick thanks to those of you who bother reading this crap. Would be sort of pointless if no one read it I guess. I get comments at various places around the city and find it interesting to see who is keeping up on this blog. I even had comments from players in the Penguin Club game about it, so I gotta watch what I say about strategy here (screw you Todd!). Todd, who has been playing very well lately, made the worse short-stack laydown ever on Tuesday, it was pretty funny actually (can't remember exact details so the story sort of sucks). He was short-stacked because he only played a couple hours and had to leave for the Yukon or some shit and won't be back for a month (k, maybe it was Swift Current?).
So, last two sessions have been +$30 and -$35 at Penguin Club. Gah...it's okay though, I'm going to have another session where I'M the one hitting soon.
Peace!

Poker Daddying it up
Had my first round of golf today (St. Boniface). Had 2 eagle putts, 3 birdies, but started the round 8, 6, 8 (4 balls out of bounds), so I didn't worry about score too much. I thought Grimes was going to give me a tough time in golf this year, but he's still good ol' Grimey and I should be kicking his ass like usual I figure. Not too worried...
Anyway, a few things to update. Played a $320 tourney a couple days ago on Stars. Lost this gross hand AK vs AK on the way to being knocked out before the first break. Meanwhile, I played a quick $550+$20 on FullTilt to get my entry back (and a bit) and hit a nice little no-brainer to take it down.
I noticed on Sharkscope that I'm down in SNGs with my main accounts on FT and Stars which I didn't expect (about $3k on both sites). Other people have played my FT account, so that might account for some, if not all, the losses. My ROI (return on investment) is positive, but my dollar winnings is negative. Guess this means I win on average, however I'm losing the bigger SNGs too often. I find I've always had crappy luck at $1,100+ SNGs, and really $3k down isn't much, so whatever...stupid Sharkscope and stupid people with their stupid stars and sharks :)
Sat down to play a short session tonight and ended up playing almost 5 hours of $5/$10 and $10/$20 (just one 10/20 table) on PartyPoker. Fiddled with this graph thingie so I can visually display the rollercoaster that is me playing online.

I felt like I was having problems against one very aggressive player named ISplashFunds. It felt like I was getting run over by him and it was annoying since he was on pretty much all my short-handed tables. But, I play him conservatively and really tried to pick my spots with him. I checked in PokerTracker after and saw that he won 102 pots against me versus my 71 pots, but I profitted $1,360 on him. So, I guess I played him alright because I don't think I was hitting particularly better.
Found some nice fishies on PP tonight, so that's good, hope more start playing. Here are some hands:
so damn ugly...this guy is such a fish...
lose most of my stack to a bad call (forgot to save hand history), then to add insult to injury this happens with my short stack, good thing I didn't reload first
made a little back from the Q5 suck-out guyMitchog2906 is horrible, he never folds
if only it was this easy all the time...notice the $200 in dead pre-flop money to boot...meh, bad hand, terrible read...
look at this dumbass...thank you!
ah, finish it off with one for me vs. ISplashFunds...
So anywho, PCH Online tourney tomorrow, then some serious BBQing, I better get to bed.

10 hours = even...
I was planning to play the Regent re-buy yesterday, then got a call 5 minutes before leaving that the Player's Club (guess it's not called Penguin Club) game was on. But, it was only $5/$10 this time to attract more players, which it did. It looks like they're now doing a weekly $5/$10 game (which sort of plays a lot like $10/$20 online since the pre-flop raises are almost always at least $50-$120 with action). The $10/$25 game might just be monthly now, which is fine with me I guess. If I wasn't running so badly in the game it would annoy me, but a little $5/$10 for a while is okay. I'm sure we'll often switch to 10/25 later at night, like we did yesterday for a short while.
Few new faces yesterday including Hung (who plays pretty tight and straight forward, but good) and Sammy (who was playing like Sammy and hitting pretty huge). Chris Dinson and Danny De Thomasis were in there too, playing short-stacked and like super rocks. Few other rocks around the table. Rosie, Todd, and I were the brunt of the action. Silvano sat down a little later in the evening but didn't get very involved. Grinded it out for 10 hours yesterday and made $30, which is basically even and I'll just record it as such. I was down about $1,200 early to just cold cards, then scooped a nice little pot off Sammy:
I raise to $40 on the button with 88, Rosie calls in EP, Sammy in MP. Flop is J83 (2 clubs), checked to me and I bet $100 into $130 or so pot. Both call. Turn is a blank 5. Checked to me, I bet $500 into a $430 pot, Rosie folds, Sammy thinks (I thought he was about to push) and just calls. River is another 3, Sammy checks and I absolutely bomb the river for $2700 (I actually meant to bet $3000 but screwed up the chips and didn't verbalize it) into a $1,400 pot and he instacalls with J8 (even though the river super-counterfeits him against an overpair). I'm surprised he didn't raise turn, he said later he thought I was bluffing (figured as much) and wanted to keep letting me bet. I only had under $1,000 left anyway.
Other than that, I thought I played reasonably solid. Made a lot of good bluffs and at least 3 pretty big correct laydowns. I keep getting setup in this game, I don't know what the deal is. One thing for sure: Rosie has my damn number. He plays so recklessly against me and I never get a situation where I can really take advantage. He plays very unorthodox and it makes it really hard when I can't get a hand to hold against him. It'll come though, he has too much confidence against me (I can't say I blame him though).
Probably not going to play much until next Tuesday, have too much other stuff to do.

Running semi-bad
Next was in the C'mon Inn in Fargo (actually, a very nice hotel) after a Martin Sexton concert on Sunday. Lost 3 straight heads-up SNGs. Got most of my chips in with 60/40s in my favour and lost every freakin' one. Then donked a little in 3/6 meanwhile. So, down another $1500 on Full Tilt.
Maybe I'm saving up my luck for the next live Penguin game. Would be a nice freakin' change.
Going to go to Regent tonight and play in their Tuesday re-buy tourney (I think it's re-buys, I sure hope so) for the first time. Not sure why. No Penguin cash game this week so I guess I just feel like a little live poker.
Hung my U of M Computer Science degree in my basement bathroom, looks good. Knew I'd find a use for it one day. God, school feels like it was ages ago. I sure don't miss it. I guess some of you are doing exams now...I don't envy you, but good luck anyway!
Loving watching NHL playoffs. If Buffalo takes the Cup I win something like $1700 from old sports bets I made back before the season started. If Calgary wins I take home around $1000 (but I don't think that looks too likely). And, if Florida wins I cash in $3400 (woops!).

Ugly, but I'll take it
Then, I catch an ugly one which is a combination of horrible play and pretty good fortune. It's against the same guy who hit the other pot on me. I have to write it out because Betfair doesn't have hand histories that can be converted (or hand histories of any kind, which super sucks). He raises to $70 pre-flop and I call with 63 clubs (going to flop a straight of course...). I didn't flop a straight, I flopped bottom pair on a T86 flop. He pounded it and I called. Turn is 3s bringing in 3 spades and my bottom 2 pair. He checks to me and I bet around $380, he check-raises me all-in for around $1700 and I instacall with a TERRIBLE feeling and already hating myself just to see another spade fall on the river pretty much sealing the deal on me blowing a bunch of money. But no, he had T7, no spade, and I take down a $4200 pot. I guess that's what happens when two donkeys butt heads...
I broke even on Party. Put it in the books as a $1,650 win.
STILL watching the Dallas/Vancouver hockey game right now. They just started the 4th freakin' overtime. What a game! The NHL is so awesome now. I wish I played my Junior hockey with the rules like they are now. You think there was a lot of clutching/grabbing before in the NHL? You should have seen Junior A! 4 years dragging guys around the ice by their sticks and taking cheap shots. I saw a Saints/Steelers playoff game and the players could actually skate and create a little flow to the game without all the interference. Anyway, touchy subject for me! Eliminating interference and taking out the 2-line pass was ALWAYS something I wished hockey would do and now here it is 8 years too late!
Half-way through 4th overtime now, the goaltenders are solid. I pick Nagy to score for Dallas (he almost did as I wrote that sentence). Gonna go watch...
Just noticed I cracked the $10k mark for online cash & SNGs since starting this blog, so I guess that is good. Before I start feeling good about it I have to get this Penguin Game going, it's on my mind a lot when I think of poker....annoying. Anyway, enough complaining about that...

Just can't catch a break in this game...
I'm not sure how many players noticed, but my plan was to try a conservative, tight (well, tight for me) session. So, I start out that way, and in about the 3rd or 4th rotation I get AA in the cutoff. I re-raise to $225 pre-flop and get 4 callers (Rosie cold-calls on the button next to me). The flop is AK9, it's checked to me and I bet $400 (I actually meant to bet 80% of pot, which this isn't, this isn't even half, but it's still a strong bet with top set), and Rosie instacalls next to me, which I love because there isn't a single open-ended or flush draw on the board, so I think I have him locked in hopefully. Everyone else folds and the turn is a T. To make a long story short, of fucking course, he has QJ and nails his gutter on the turn and I don't pair the board AGAIN. This makes two big sets that have gone down huge to ridiculous gutters. So, $5,000 down immediately.
That wasn't the end to it. I continued to have a Q high flush run into Todd's straight flush, and a flopped nut straight with TJ rivered by a full house. Both those hands I have to fold on river after putting in at least $3,000 combined before the river. I had a few others coolers and big 2nd bests mixed in there.
But anyway, all-in-all, I felt like I actually played decent. I don't recall many plays that I terribly regret. Joe made a good call on me once which cost me a little, but that'll happen. I stuck to my strategy most of the session despite having the worse luck and setups at the table. There was a lot of bitching at the table this session, and I was just sitting their quietly thinking "Are you fucking kidding me? Try playing the hands I've had...". I know at least half the players at the table go busto 3 times with my hands. I didn't straddle a single time the entire session, not once! I think that is something I'm going to keep up, straddling really is a terrible idea, especially in a big game. Maybe when I'm super up or I want to promote action from a bad player, but that's it.
I made a decent comeback in the 2nd half of the session. Just little hands here and there. Johnny paid me off for about $2,500 when I bet AA on all 3 streets, which were uncharacteristically bad calls by him (guess he thought I was bluffing). It's getting hard to know when to value bet my hands because many of the tight players have taken to checking big hands to me all the time, which isn't necessarily a bad play by them because they're trying to entice me to bluff, but I can take advantage and get a lot of free cards if I adjust properly and spot their strength.
Anyway, I finished down about $1,700. So, blah, but it could have been much worse. As soon as I start getting some coolers in my freakin' favour I should be able to put together a winning session in this game again. I must admit I felt pretty demoralized after those string of setups, I was almost $10k down before I could blink, and I was playing CONSERVATIVE I thought. Geezus. Super helpless feeling, but things improved and I'm happy with how I grinded back.
However, this makes 2 winning and 3 losing sessions in this game. Still up overall because of the one huge $32k day, but it's damn time I get another winning session. If I play the same next time as this session, barring extremely bad luck again, things should turn around.

Going to fold more
I played a mini-session today for about 30 minutes. Played 27% of hands, and made two pretty big (as in, conservative) laydowns. Might have been winning, I don't know, but would have fucking kicked myself if I was wrong. Only going to call big river bets when I have a very strong feeling (or pretty much know) it's a bluff, I think I'm right about 80% of the time when I get that feeling (the one when you check and are already thinking "I'll call any bet here and I don't care how weak I am, go ahead and do it!"). I'm going to try not to make plays that I feel like I'll regret if wrong.
Anyway, I came out $1700 ahead on PP 5/10, and $100 down on Betfair 5/10 and one 10/20 (got my AA butchered by some fool all-in with a 9, turned trips). So, $1600 to the good.
Penguin game is in 2 days again, looking forward to it but a little nervous. I'm not sure I've ever wanted to win in any individual session as much as this Tuesday. Want to get back on track in that game. It's too expensive not to. The more I look back on it, the more horribly I know I played last Tuesday, just plain bad. I'm not going to do that again, ever.

Got to adjust some things
Anyway, figure there is a few things I need to work on in my game. First off, it's come time to lower my hands played % and pre-flop raise cold-calling %. Both are too high to compete at my best abilities against strong players. Playing super loose-aggressive works against a weak passive field, but not against a bunch of decent players.
Anyway, here are some hands from my session, all 5/10 on PP:
quads, ship it...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?974723
sweet turn, probably happy no club on river...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?974774
i play this hand so bad, i could have busted this calling station, instead i turn into the calling
station and win a bigger pot than i deserve...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?974794
meh, i know he's fastplaying me, i should definitely fold river, only action i get from big pair
tonight is losing action. a lot of people lose their stack on this hand, i didn't do that, but that's not justification for not folding, i have to trust my reads better...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?974801
this guy had my damn number all night, UNTIL THIS ONE! :) Finally I get a cooler in my
favour...btw, I'm folding river if I don't catch my flush, no way he makes that turn play with
anything but QJ or J7 minimum...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?974804
this guy is such a clown and i kept doubling up his short stack, i never win 50/50 all-in preflops
in cash games...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?974827
i should fold this river, not much coming easy tonight...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?974831
so, i'm having a frustrating night, then bam, good ol' MiltosJJ jumps on one table, he is one of the biggest fish still playing on PP, i miss guys like this...these hands are all within a few minutes
http://www.pokerhand.org/?974845
http://www.pokerhand.org/?974847
http://www.pokerhand.org/?974851 (I sure didn't put him on the hand he had...haha...)
After MiltosJJ leaves,
RaiseandPray: that guy is such a fish...i love him
superlad: lol
superlad: he had AA there you know
RaiseAndPray: really? haha...well, he's still a super fish :)
superlad: no doubt
After these MiltosJJ donations, I was up for the first time since the first 30 minutes of play and decided to call it a night and book a small win (I had been down at least $2k at one point). I had some tough situations tonight and can't really say I rose to the challenge, made some pretty stinky river calls. I should be happy I booked a positive number tonight...
I think I learnt a few more things I need to do tonight:
1. I have to learn to spot good players fastplaying me better because it's SO expensive when you don't catch on soon enough.
2. I should never play more than 4 tables at once, I simply play worse on average for sure. Maybe 5 is okay if there are a few full ring games, but tonight i played 6 (even 7 for a short while) and that was retarded playing NL against strong players.
3. My game selection needs to improve. If there are only strong players everywhere, I should just accept it and play less tables, spend more time searching for fish, or just not play.
I did lower my hands played % down to 26% which isn't too bad for short-handed (most tables were 5-6 players). Maybe a little lower wouldn't be bad, but this is a start...i probably still called too many raises though.
So, blah, blah, blah, made $400 tonight. Oh yah, and I jumped into a quick 4/8 game on Mansion this afternoon for some reason to kill 10 minutes and made $125, so $525 to the good guys today.
I'm just gonna start rounding the $$$ numbers to the nearest 10...

Yay for donkaments!
Jumped into the midnight PokerStars $100+$9 tourney. 287 players. I agreed on a 3-way even chop for 1st for $5,414. You shoulda seen the runaround I gave them, haha, I hate chopping and one guy was pretty bad, but the blinds were ridiculously huge and they wouldn't shut up about it (and I was 3rd in chips, but barely). Anyway, I ended up winning when we played it out for leaderboard points (not that I give a shit), stupid deals, cost me $2.5k. I catalogued pretty much the entire tournament below. I pretty much paid no attention during most of the tournament as I was preoccupied with cash game. Didn't even notice I was close to final table until I was moved there! Online tournaments are so no-brainer I find, but good when I just feel like relaxing. My last two final tables in online tourneys I've been oversetted for huge pots and finished 8th in both. Maybe I did so well this time because I probably only missed a rotation's worth of hands from being distracted in cash games, I usually miss more like 30% of them. Oh, and I turned card animation on for the first time in years, was fun seeing cards one at a time in a tourney, made me feel warm and fuzzy...haha....ahhhh....donkaments....
Since I now had some time to kill during the tournament played some $5/$10 on PP. I posted some hands way below (below the tourney hands). As you can see I lost some stupid ones, but still came out $300 to the good which isn't bad considering a couple ugly ones I lost. I just quit while I was still up so i could focus on the final table of the tourney.
Oh, and I also jumped into two $220+$10 HU SNGs on PS and took them both down, but blew a quick $100 on $3/$6 NL against a shortstack fish.

CASH GAME HANDS

just try to get him to fold preflop, then look what happens, bullshit....serves me right I guess.....how does 92 ski-doo not hold?!?!? bullshit....
http://www.pokerhand.org/?971460
ew, look at this ugly hand, glad the guy plays it like a pussy. I thought he was about to push
allin on turn, i'm not sure if i call, not a lot of equity without a diamond...

donation to the charity of "me"...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?971463
isn't winning a big pot with a set the best? i don't often check the turn in hands like this,
just felt like the right play this time, turns out it didn't really matter...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?971799
What the hell is he calling with on the flop? :)
http://www.pokerhand.org/?971576
yes! i get to screw a shortstack for once! this guy was fucking terrible, so this is a complete
no-brainer...
http://www.pokerhand.org/?971587
ah damn it, this guy had such a huge range of 3-betting preflop in late position or blinds, i
could have let go, i had a bad feeling but still went with it, should have folded i guess but
tough spot against aggressive 3-better who would play AJ the same...meh, yah, should have folded
http://www.pokerhand.org/?971611
sigh...

Still in shock
Players were late showing up, so we played a little $100 SNG for fun. I said while it was starting "I'm going to hit all my hands during this thing and not win a hand all day in the cash game". Well, I split for 1st in the SNG (making $400 after tip or something like that) and had the worse stretch of cash game in my life.
I feel embarrassed writing this, and almost quit the blog merely because I feel ridiculous if friends and family read this, but I was down $19,360. I can't just shrug off losing that type of money. I won $32,500 in that game a couple months ago, but never thought I'd EVER lose more than 5-10k, didn't really think I'd be capable of that even with terrible luck. I won't even bother with hand replays cuz it'll just make me sick, lets just say I didn't win many hands and the few flops I hit big (sets, etc) I found a way to lose by the river. Probably blew about $5k in badly timed bluffs, shrug.....played bad, terrible cards, terrible luck, just terrible. My overall winnings in that game now sit at $23,000, though at one point in the last session (the one before yesterday) I was sitting at $52,000. Quite a swing...
Anyway, I'm not sure what I'm going to do now. I think we're playing again next Tuesday, and I'm going to go, but I might have to play a little more conservative. There will hopefully be some new blood in the game next week I've heard. I just can't make a bluff anymore, everyone calls me down so light, I just have to wait and hope to hit, but we'll see I guess. I've already got the image of a big bluffer, so hopefully that'll last for a couple sessions and I can get paid off if I ever hit a hand again in that game.
I've cashed out a bunch online just because I feel like I should. I'm only going to play 5/10 and lower and try to build back some money and confidence. Going to concentrate on other things for a while too (like this damn real estate course), just need a break. I want to play some serious cards in Vegas in June, but don't want to burn out or lose anymore before that. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't really starting to lose my motivation for poker, I just have to take a little time and re-evaluate and see how things go over the next couple weeks.

Decent day, big game tomorrow!
Jumped into a quick $550+$20 HU SNG on Stars and got my KK donked by 22 making the wheel. I can never get anything going on Stars...
Went back and played a few short-stacks in 5/10 heads-up on FT. Few hands:
Hand 1 - This is the SECOND hand with this guy. What the hell was this? Haha, and look how bad the flop is for me...
Hand 2 - Next guy who sits. This is how every hand I have against short-stacks go, they bleed me so bad.
Hand 3 - This time I get it all back shortly after.
Then in the evening, short session of 5/10 on Party, scrape together a quick $820.
So, all-in-all, good day leading into the $10/$25 NL game at Penguin Club tomorrow. Love that game, but it makes for a looooong day (usually 10-14 hours straight). We've had four sessions, the last one was my only losing session, so I'd like to get that turned around. Maybe I'll record and post some good hands from the session. First couple sessions (the 2nd session being the best poker day of my life making over $32k) were pretty straight forward, but I noticed in the last couple sessions many players (including the strong ones) have started making more moves. I definitely was successfully bluffed a few times last session, but I guess it's okay to fold the winner sometimes. I'm looking forward to this game, it's a fun day with some entertaining characters. No Silvano this time, but hopefully there will still be some action! If not, I'll try to make some! :)

Random Play
Jumped in a quick $1,100 + $30 HUSNG on FT tonight. Had the guy down to 320 chips in 5 hands, then he came back and had me down to 750 (I wasn't pleased), but then I came back and won, so screw him! Then, as I was writing this I lost a $550+$20 to a 4 outter, awesome.
My stupid bluetooth keyboard is being a pain in the ass, disconnecting all the time and shit, so bye.
